Never Stop Pushing

So how are you all on this beautiful day. SO I have not updated my blog in a while and I thought that it was time for a new entry. As I sit here and think of what tip I want to give you wonderful people, and I draw a blank, so i guess I will just talk about this week and hope that you all will get motivation from it. So these last 2 weeks or so have been stress full.... with classes starting back, working 98.5 hours, and still trying to maintain some sort of a social life weight loss has not been on the front burner as I no it should be. I had a class that met on Friday and Saturday and everyone brought snakes because the class was like 8 hours long..... So as I am sitting there and not realizing it that I have eating half a box of cheese nips, about 20 jolly ranchers, and a bunch of other junk, I began to think to myself, and try to trick myself into justifying what I am eating (oh its okay I have been doing really good it will be okay) yes I have been doing really well, but the thing is if I want to keep doing really well I am going to have to push through the craving for jelly beans and other non healthy JUNK food. So that is what I want to tell all of you today is to push through. Don't be your own worst enemy, don't trick yourself into thinking that you are doing so good that you can slack off a week because the truth is yes you are doing very good but you want to keep doing good!!!! Also don't listen to the people who tell you that just one bite won't hurt, or come on all you do is watch what you eat, please eat this with me. Even though they are not trying to they are bring you down, they are sabotaging you. If they really cared for you they would understand that sometimes you just have to do you. They will understand that if this is really important to you, it has to be important to them as well. So I challenge you all this week to try to resist those temptations. I am not saying that you should never eat junk food again but I am saying for this week try not to eat them. See how that works for you, see how good you will feel at the end of the week. Now be careful not to be to hard on your self, if you do give in and eat junk don't beat yourself up about it, don't think well i failed now so i will give up just think that's okay I still have the power to resist these things for the rest of the week. So I hope that this was helpful to you, if you have any friends or family who is trying to lose weight tell them about my blog and ask them to follow me. Until next time have a wonderful day.

Never Give Up

So how are you all doing on this HOT day. So as most of you are probably wondering did you reach your milestone? Did you lose you weight watchers 50. Well I guess I won't keep you all waiting any longer the answer is no. The truth is I gained a pound, and I can't sit here and say that it did not bother me and I was fine with it, because if I did it would be a total lie. The truth is it really got me down for a little bit, but with the help of a friend I was able to PUSH through it, and it really helped open my eyes. So with this I want to tell you all NEVER give up. It will not happen over night it is a process. I realize that we live in a fast pace world and most people want results right away with doing no work what so ever, but lets be real for just a minute that is never going to happen. Weight loss is not a sprint it is a Marathon and just like in running if you are running a Marathon and sprint the first half a mile you are going to tire out and probably not even be able to reach your goal well weight loss is the same way. If you take it slow you will be able to reach your goal and keep your goal. Just because one week you may not lose or the next you may gain and the next you may lose 5, just keep in mind it is about your overall weight loss. A healthy weight loss is any where from .5-2 pounds a week now I no what you are think that is not no weight at all, but I thought the same thing. So think about it this way if in 3 weeks all you do is lose a total of 5 pounds you may feel down on your self, but think of this would you be able to take a 5 pound weight and hold it in the air for lets say 10 minutes with out it starting to hurt a little bit. The answer for most of you would be no its going to burn like no other. But that is what you are doing with the weight that is on your body. You are holding it at all times with you no matter what you are doing. So next time you are down on your self because you may think that you are not losing as fast as you should just think back to that 5 pound weight think about how much it would suck if you had to carry it around for 10 minutes, then think about how good you arms would feel once you was able to put that weight down, and think that you have already done that. Every pound ounce counts when it comes to your weight lose. So until next time remember that everyday you are putting down more and more weights and when you are thinking about giving up just think about how good it feels when you lay down those weights no matter how heavy or light they may feel at that time they WILL add up.

While dining out, Dine right

Sorry all that I have not been able to keep up with this blog as much as I would like. For some strange reason my computer has decided that it did not want to work anymore so i am with no way to update this blog unless from the library where I am today. Enough with that and on to the weight loss. So as I have said in previous post that I went on a diet 1st and then did weight watchers. well with the diet I lost 20 pounds, now with weight watchers I have lost an additional 46 pounds and today I am hoping to reach my 50 pound goal with weight watchers. I am so close to this goal I can almost taste it but getting here has not been flowers and butterflies. Some very helpful tips that I have learned that has helped me get to this point is not to change how you eat completely (because then you will feel deprived and not stick with it) but in stead to modify the way you eat. As you all should no by now I am a college student and before I started my weight loss journey I ate out every single day most of the time for all 3 meals of the day. Now that I am losing weight I still eat out just about every single day most of the time 3 times a day, but now instead of going to the Mexican restaurant and eating the whole basket of chips, and getting the "combo" now I go and I count out 5 chips and break those chips into smaller peaces and PUSH the basket away. The reason it is a good idea to break up the chips is one so you still feel as if you are getting the same amount of chips because we tend to eat to volume, and secondly that way you can get more of the salsa which is healthy for you, and it is also a feeling food so it will give you the feeling of being satisfied longer. Another way is to order smaller portions like i said before instead of getting the "combo" meal just get something off the a la carte menu. Listen to your body it will tell you when it is full or satisfied make sure you can learn the difference because being full does not always mean that you have eating so much that you have to unbutton your pants. By ordering off the a la carte menu you will find it easier to only eat the one taco for example because you won't have another one just seating on your plate staring at you calling your name, but you will also tell it in your pocket book. Never in my life did I think I could go out to a restaurant and eat for less than $5.00 but ever since I started watching my weight my stomach has been getting smaller and my wallet getting BIGGER. Well I am going to go now and get ready for weight watchers and hope and pray that I have met my 50 pound goal. So wish me luck and I can't wait to type to you all again, have a great week.
